Take a Boat Sightseeing Tour of Downtown Miami – The city of Miami is beautiful when seen from the water. Take a Fishing Trip – Bayside marina, in Downtown Miami has charters available to take people out on the ocean fishing. The Miami Zoo has bicycle carts for rent, they are like a four bicycle wheel car, with pedals for everyone aboard, with a roof and place for four passengers. Miami Seaquarium – The home of ‘Flipper’, for those who remember the old TV series. Jungle Island – This theme park is a combination of a zoo, petting zoo, and the focus of the original foundation that created it, a Parrot park. Vizcaya Museum and Gardens – If your taste is more for a cultural experience, Vizcaya could be the ideal place to go. A museum, that was the former residence of a very wealthy settler of Miami. The entire interior was brought in from Europe, the gardens are immense and spectacular, everything was built to a standard that is unreal. Gold Coast Railroad Museum – See historic train cars, and even take a ride on a historic train, with many exhibits, and interesting artifacts from days past. Miami Science Museum – A planetary show, with gallery exhibits, nestled in downtown Miami. Miami Children’s Museum – A museum with a lot of interesting activities, exhibits, and areas that will inspire fun learning. Play a round of Gold – South Florida has a lot of golfing. There are golf courses close to any hotel in the area, and they can be fun as an outing with friends, or older children. Most will have clubs for rental, and GPS equipped golf carts. The Doral, is a PGA golf course, that is very good, in the NW Miami are, or one of our favorites is the Crandon Park Golf Course on Key Biscayne only minutes from Downtown Miami, and with the ocean breeze over the golf course. Florida Grand Opera – America’s seventh oldest opera company, they perform at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in Miami. SoBe – South Beach is an icon of international partiers, and has been for a long time. The Art Deco buildings of Ocean Drive with their bright neon colors, live music, al fresco dining, and clubs lining the strip. If you love great nightlife, and you are in Miami, South Beach is a must see. Parking can be difficult, and having your own private transportation service is ideal.

LIV – With the success of South Beach, it seems the famous Fontainebleau Hilton hotel was feeling left out, and they created LIV, an over the top trendy and elegant club, with top DJs, that attracts celebrities from around the world. Tobacco Road – The oldest bar in Miami, and proud owner of liquor license #1, Tobacco Road is still very much a bustling nightclub. Specialized in beer and cocktails over live jazz music, it is the symbol of Miami’s fun nightlife tradition. See details on Tobacco Road!

CocoWalk – In the heart of Coconut Grove, CocoWalk is a mall during the day that becomes a party town at night. It has plenty of bars and clubs, and attracts an affluent and young following. Stranahan House – This museum/antique house built in 1901 in the heart of what is now Downtown Fort Lauderdale, was once the home of Frank Stranahan, considered a founding father of Fort Lauderdale. His wife Cromartie Stranahan is credited with being the first school teacher of Fort Lauderdale. It is one of the oldest structures in the area, and has a beautiful history in it. Ski Rixen – The only cable pulled water ski ride in Florida, pulls you silently over smooth water. It is a lot of fun, and is a lot safer than regular water skiing.
